[Monica comes in]

Monica: Hey Rachel.  (to Emma, quietly) Hi Emma!

Rachel: (smiles) Hey Monica. Good that you’re coming.

Monica :  Why?

Rachel: Because I have to pee since half an hour.

Monica: (sits down) So, why didn’t you go?

Rachel: Because every time I stand up ,she just begins crying. But now, you’re here and I finally can go to the toilet. (goes to the toilet)

(Monica takes the magazine and begins to read, but a few seconds later, Emma begins to cry.)

Monica: Oh, no, no, no. Sweetie, shhht!  ( takes her out of the child seat)

(Rachel comes back)

Rachel: Hey, did you wake her up?

Monica: No, I just took your magazine and she just began to cry! I didn’t do anything! (gives Emma to Rachel)

Rachel: Well than, I don’t know why she’s crying.

Monica: That’s normal. She probably just woke up and doesn’t know what do to else than… , than crying.

Rachel: You think so?

Monica: Yeah, sure.

Rachel: You know what?

Monica: What?

Rachel: You would be such a great mother!

Monica: Really?

Rachel: ( Emma stops crying and fell asleep, Rachel puts her back in the child seat) Oh, look, she fell asleep. Does Chandler still wanna have kids?

Monica: I think so. I mean, we’re actually still trying to have a baby. But, why do you ask?

Rachel: I just thought that… ,that Chandler doesn’t wanna have kids right now. I mean, it’s Chandler. He normally just get out of things when they are starting to be difficult…

Monica: What do you mean?

Rachel: Well, you don’t have so much money at the moment and… But y’know what, never mind. That was trash.

Monica: No, no,  it wasn’t. I’m really not sure if Chandler still wanna have a baby. I’ll go and talk to him.

Rachel: Yeah, that’s probably better.

Monica: (stands up) OK, than… , than see you later.

Rachel: (takes her magazine) Yeah, bye.  (Monica leaves)

[Scene: Monica and Chandler’s, Ross is sitting on the couch, Chandler is making a sandwich.]

Chandler: So, how’s Emma?

Ross: Fine, I think she’s with Rachel at the coffee house. Why?

Chandler: Oh, just because, Monica and I are trying to have a baby.

Ross: Still?

Chandler: What do you mean, still?

Ross: Oh, I just thought that you, umm, that you kinda (makes quotation marks)   “stop the production”.

Chandler: Again, what do you mean?

Ross: Y’know, you don’t have so much money at the moment, and a baby is really not cheap! I mean  the diapers, the food and all the stuff.

Chandler: Well, I still want to  have a baby. And I guess, Monica too.

Ross: Yeah, yeah,  I think so too. And if you need money, you can ask me every time!

Chandler: I know.  (Monica comes in)

Monica: Hey guys. What are you doin’?

Ross: Nothing.

Monica: Good. Chandler, can I talk to you for a second?

Chandler: Sure, what’s up?

Monica: Uuumm (looks at Ross)

Ross: OK, I got it. I’m gonna take off.

Monica: Thanks.  (Ross leaves)

Chandler:  (impatient) What’s u-u-p??

[Monica sits down and takes his hand]

Monica: Honey, I’ve been thinking. And you know that I really want to have kids.

Chandler: I’m doin’ the best I can!

Monica: (confused) Sure. But y’know,  now, when we have to save the money… Do you want to still have a baby?    (Joey comes in)

Joey: Hey guys.

Monica: Uumm Joey, don’t be mad, but Chandler and I have to talk about something.

Joey: Yeah, OK. (sits down)

Chandler: Alone.

Joey: OK, than… (Joey leaves)

Chandler: You wanna say that you don’t want to have a baby anymore?  (Joey comes in again.)

Joey: I’m sorry that I have to interrupt you guys. But, is this a sandwich?

Chandler: Yes, and I just made it for you!

Joey: Oh thanks! ( beams from ear to ear and leaves)

Monica: What did you wanna say?

Chandler: I asked you if you don’t wan to have a baby anymore because… ,y’know…, I’m just getting used to this thought.

[Monica]

[Scene: Central Perk, Rachel’s still on the couch, now feeding Emma)

(Joey comes with the sandwich in his hands in)

Joey: Hey Rach.

Rachel: Hey.

Joey: What are you doin’?

Rachel: Uummm, I’m feeding Emma.

Joey: Oh, oh can I do that??

Rachel: Sure, but you’re eating a sandwich and you need both hands…

(Joey stuffs the rest of the sandwich in his mouth.)

Joey: (with the mouth full) Can I do it now? (spits at Rachel)

Rachel: Uumm yeah, sure! (wipes  through  the face)

Joey: Yay!

(Rachel gives Joey Emma, and he feeds her)

Rachel: Joe,  I’ve just remembered that…, could you look after Emma?

Joey:  You just gave her to me! Hello??!

Rachel: I was talking about the afternoon.

Joey: Oh. Today afternoon? (thinking) No…, no I have a date.

Rachel: (interested) A date? With who?

Joey: With a girl, Carrie. I met her a few days ago.

Rachel: (still interested) Really? And where?

Joey: (remembering) I’m Joey! If I could remember such a thing! I meet a lot of women a day, I can n—(Rachel interrupts  Joey)

Rachel: OK, OK. So, I have to think about it one more time. Perhaps I’m gonna ask Ross.  –belch!

[Joey looks at her wondered…]

Joey: OK, If you want.  (…and belches)

Rachel: I wasn’t talking to you.

Joey: Well, I knew that. ( He taps Emma’s  back, so that she can belches, but she pukes on his shoulder.)

[Scene: Phoebe’s, Phoebe is getting dressed for a Blind Date when someone knocks at the door.]

(Phoebe opens the door and Ross comes in)

Ross: Hey Pheebs.

Phoebe: Hey. Don’t get angry, but I got no time for you.

Ross: How sad. What are you going to do?

Phoebe: (mumbling) I got a date.

Ross: What?

Phoebe: (still mumbling)  A date.

Ross: (angry) A date?? Did you say that??  (Phoebe looks innocent)  (still angry) But, you just split up with Mike! …With, with who?

Phoebe: Well, actually, I don’t know. It’s a Blind Date.

Ross: (gets louder) A what??

Phoebe: Are you deaf?? (screaming) A – BLIND – DATE!

Ross: I did understand you, I just can not believe that. (sits down) Do you think you’re doing the right thing?

Phoebe: No! Y’know, I just think about Mike all the day, I…, I kinda need a change.

Ross: Can’t we give you that, that change?

Phoebe: Ross, don’t you listen at me?? I said I need a change. Hangin’ out with you guys is not a change!

Ross: Well, however, it’s you decision. See ya.

(Ross leaves, Phoebe sits down thoughtful, shooks her had and leaves too)

[ Monica and Chandler’s, Monica and Chandler are still sitting on the couch]

Chandler: If you think, that there’s a problem in borrowing money of Joey, there is not a problem. Actually, he kinda borrowed money of me all the time.

Monica: No, it’s not because of that thing. I actually thought that you don’t wanna have a baby right now.

You know that I’d love to have one, if now or a bit later doesn’t matter. I just wasn’t sure anymore if you wanna have a baby under these circumstances, y’know?

Chandler: Yeah, yeah, well, no, no, but whatever. Why  do you think that I don’t wanna have a baby anymore?

Monica: I talked with Rachel and she asked me if you still wanna have a bay.

Chandler: That’s weird.

Monica: What?

Chandler: Actually Ross asked me the same thing. What do they think? That, that, I just get out of things       when they are starting to be difficult or what??

Monica: Uhhmmm…

Chandler: What?

Monica: Well, Rachel said exactly the same thing.

Chandler: Honey, listen. I wanna have a baby. Long time ago, I was kinda scared of having babies, but –

Monica: (interrupting) Can I just stop you right there for a sec?  Long time ago?? You were saying?

Chandler: OK,  let’s say, there was a time when I was scared thinking about having babies. But now, when I’m with you ,I just think that it’s, it’s right.

And I also felt weird when I thought about the thing of … of being a father. I mean, I really would have a good  reason to feel kinda strange as in a role of a father. But it doesn’t feel weird anymore, because I know that you are the only one I wanna have kids with, place the emphasis on kids.

I’m ready for it, when you are.

Monica: (smiles) I’m ready too. I just didn’t wanna put you under pressure…

Chandler: Well, you can’t say it that way. Actually, you are the one who carries  the baby for such a long time. I… I,  technically, I’d have about nine months to get closer to the situation.

(Monica smiles)

[Scene: Central Perk, Joey and Rachel are still sitting on the couch, Emma sleeps in her child seat, Joey is trying to clean his shirt]

Joey: Oh crap! That’s my only clean shirt!

Rachel: (surprised)What?? You only got one clean shirt in your closet??

Joey: Rach, listen. I do not eat all the damn diet stuff like you, okay?! I’m a regular man, even a bit more handsome than other guys but whatever, who eats normal food. And even you can eat as well and as much as me, you still can spill the food on your shirt.

Rachel: OK, I got it.

Joey: Yeah. But, I still don’t have a clean shirt for my date with Isabel. (Rachel looks strange) Perhaps, I can find one  in my closet anyway. I’ll go and have a look. See ya.

Rachel: Yeah, and enjoy  your date with…, with that, that poor girl…(Joey stands up, Phoebe comes in)

Joey: Hi.

Phoebe: Hey. (Joey leaves. Phoebe watches him go)

Phoebe: What did I do?

Rachel: Nothing, why? (reproachful) What did you do?

Phoebe: Nothing, but why does Joey leaves when I come in?

Rachel: Oh, thank God! Actually, he just has a date.

Phoebe: Oh good! I thought he was mad of me or somethin’.

Rachel: No, no. But, why are you dressed so smartly?

Phoebe: OK, but promise: When I’ll tell you the reason, you will not be angry?

Rachel: (surprised) Uuum, OK. So, will you tell me now, or are we waiting something “special” is going to happen?

Phoebe: (angry) You didn’t say “I promise”!

Rachel :OK, I…, I promise.

Phoebe: OK, the reason why I’m… (thinking). No, you have to say “I promise my dear Phoebe”!

Rachel: (loosing her temper) “I promise my dear Phoebe”!

Phoebe: Say it nicer!

Rachel: Am I totally dumb now, or are you trying to avoid me?

Phoebe: (encouraging)Look, I now that you can do that!

Rachel: Sweetie, what is the matter with you?

Phoebe: OK, I got a  Date.

Rachel: (interested) Oh my god! With who (then realises)? Oh, no, no, Phoebe! You just split up with Mike!

Phoebe: If I didn’t knew that…

Rachel: Do you…, you really think—(Phoebe interrupts)

Phoebe: Please, don’t speak. Ross just gave me a lecture about that.

Rachel: Well, normally I would not hear at Ross when he says stuff about relationships, but in this case, he is so right!

Phoebe: Whatever! But I’ll go to this date!

Rachel: It’s your decision. I’ll go, I have to change Emma’s diapers.

Phoebe: Oh, that’s Emma! I thought something would go mouldy or something…

Rachel: No, that’s her.

(They leave)

[Scene: Joey and Rachel’s]

(Joey’s looking for a new shirt, but he can’t find one. On the way to the bathroom he sees Rachel’s laundry standing on the counter , stops, thinks, goes back…)

Joey: Why not??   (…,  graps at a black blouse and goes quickly into his room.)

[Scene: In a restaurant, Phoebe sits thinking at a table with a red rose in her hands]

[a waiter comes]

Waiter: Can I bring you something to drink?

Phoebe: Yeah, a water please.

Waiter: (writes it down) Date?

Phoebe: No, I said a water. (the waiter goes, shooks his head)

[Mike comes in with a red rose in his hands, sees Phoebe, want to go to her, but then turns around and leaves, Phoebe looks at her watch and sighs.]

[Scene: Joey and Rachel’s, Rachel has her head in the laundry, Ross sits  on the couch.]

(Joey comes in, sees  the two and does embarrassed up his coat)

Ross: Hey Joe!

Joey: Hey guys. (goes quickly in his room)

Rachel: Joe, have you seen my black blouse? I thought it was in my laundry, but I can’t find it!

Joey: (with his head between the door) What the hell should I do with your damn blouse.

Ross: Well, Rachel actually just thought that you could’ve see it. But, hey, how was you date?

Joey: OK.

Rachel: (still her head in the laundry) So, where is she now?

Joey: Probably… at home.

Ross: I guess it doesn’t worked out?

Joey: (comes out of his room) Yeah, y’know… (takes off his coat and you can see him with Rachel’s narrow blouse) … she was kinda… (realises that he’s wearing Rachel’s blouse, Ross starts laughing.)

Ross: Rach, I think you can probably stop searching now, we just find your blouse.

Rachel: (to Ross) Oh, where? (Ross tips at Joey.)

Rachel: (angry, to Joey) JOEY!!!

Ross: You could’ve borrowed a shirt of mine.

Joey: Yeah, man, I think it’s better to go to a date in a women blouse, which by the way emphasises my muscles,

than in a pink mans shirt.  (Rachel starts laughing, but looks at her angrily, so she stops)

Ross: (loud, angry) This shirt was salmon and I really liked it! Oh, and “by the way”, I also have other shirts!!!

Joey: (happy) Yeah, but look at this! (tenses his muscles that the blouse tears up.)

Rachel: (very angry) JOEY!!!

[Scene: Monica and Chandler’s]

Chandler: So, honey,  we stick to “our plan” ?

Monica: Yeah, I’d love that. (smiles)

Chandler: Me too. (smiles too)

Monica: I love you Chandler!

Chandler: I love you too!    (they start kissing)
