BIOGRAPHY Essex native Scott Robinson
began his show business career at an early age: appearing on television,
advertisements and in the National Children's Theatre original production
of "Whistle Down The Wind". Whilst a student at the Sylvia
Young Stage School in London in 1997, Scott auditioned with over
3000 other hopefuls and won a place in a 'new boy band with edge'...
who would later be known as FIVE. Five became far more successful
than anyone imagined and quickly became international superstars.
In a career spanning 4 1/2 years, Five had 13 single hits including
three #1s, 4 albums, numerous awards including the Brit for Best
Pop in 2000, an MTV Europe award in 1998 and over 17 million in
sales.
Sold-out solo World and UK
tours as well as multi-artist shows with the likes of the Backstreet
Boys, N'Sync and Westlife cemented their pop chart domination. Five
caused a traffic jam in Times Square when they appeared on MTV TRL
in New York City and they played to 250,000 screaming South Americans
at Rock in Rio. Their appearances on UK TV programmes such as Top
of the Pops, MTV UK and cd:uk were frequent and always memorable
owing to Five's in-your-face, wild and honest style.
When Five decided to disband in September 2001 while they were still
on the top of the charts & good mates, Scott began a new life
the very next day... marrying childhood sweetheart Kerry Oaker with
all the Five men in attendance. They now have an active toddler
and future football star, Brennan Rhys plus a very crazy dog. In
true Essex style, Scott's home is always open to his many relatives
and life-long childhood friends who stop by continuously whenever
he is there. Since Five, Scott has continued his life-long
passion for music as a writer, producer and singer. He spent time
as a radio presenter on Essex FM, developed several new concepts
for television programmes with partner Chris Brooks and helped launch
the new NTL TV channel, BroadbandTV World. Scott channeled his love
of poker playing into participation as one of the original celebrity
card-sharks at CelebPoker.com, where he currently spends several hours
each week playing at their internet website and in live tournaments.
In early 2004, Scott got the call to become a member of the
original cast for the new musical, "Boogie Nights 2".
He plays the hilarious Terry, in his debut theatrical performance,
and his powerful, clear tenor voice can be heard throughout the
show. Boogie Nights 2 debuted in August 2004 and continues at venues
throughout the UK until the fall of 2005. While Scott's
joys are his family and his music, he leaves a little room in his
life for being an ardent Arsenal Football Club supporter. On every
game day, he will always be sporting his Arsenal kit.06 Scott is back with Five (J, Abz and Ritchie). |
